Overview

This Postgraduate Certificate addresses the needs of FET staff and other educators tasked with responsibility for redesign of existing or development of new education and training programmes including traineeship and apprenticeship programmes.


Course structure

Duration: 1 year part-time

The programme is offered part-time over two semesters. It will be delivered partly through a combination of online and day long in-person workshops. Adult education participative and dialogical methodologies will be used for delivery of both online and in-person workshops. The online dimension will be interactive and include activities that enhance student learning through active participation in webinars, discussion forums and other exercises.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish university primary degree level. We also accept applications who can evidence degree equivalent in accordance with MU’s policy on recognition of prior learning (RPL).

Applicants much also be working in an education setting such as within adult, community or further education environments or a work-place setting.
